Our Positions

Event and Operations Intern

Assist arena staff in the coordination and operation of all events held within the arena. This position plays an integral role in the Operations department and the selected individual will obtain unparalleled experience. The candidate will gain valuable skills in event and facility operations. Candidates must be available for evening and weekend events and comply with College, Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.

Front Desk Arena Specialist

Greet customers and guests, provide direction and facility information, operate point of sale system and receive payments from daily users.  Specialists will open and close the arena, manage locker room use, actively participate in the upkeep of the facility, stay up to date on any new desk procedures, locker rooms requirements, and schedule changes. Required to work 1 shift per week (at minimum).

Game Day Ice Technician

Game Day Ice Technicians must be able to serve in the role assigned on game days. If you are unable to skate, complete training on how best to serve in other roles on a game day (moving nets, shoveling at entrances, etc.) Must be customer service oriented, communicative, helpful, and welcoming to people you encounter in the building. If you get a question you don’t know, do what you can to find an answer as soon as possible. Stay up to date on any new ice procedures, game day procedures, facility requirements, and schedule changes. Required to commit to CC Hockey game days one month in advance.

Multimedia Production Intern

Assist the Director of Technical Services & Video Production in all aspects of video production and game day operation including but not limited to camera work, video editing, graphic design, field production, and video engineering. They will get hands on experience as well as be a part of the live event crew during CC home hockey games, or any other event at Ed Robson Arena that needs technical support. This position may also assist in shooting and editing videos for use by CC Athletics. Training will be provided to candidates chosen.

Event Arena Specialist

Event Arena Specialists must be able to serve in the role assigned at events and on game days. They are expected to greet customers and guests and provide direction and facility information. Event Arena Specialists also open and close the arena, manage locker room use, stay up to date on all game day entry rules, seating areas, directions within the arena, bathroom and concession’s locations, elevators, access points, etc. Required to commit to CC Hockey Game Days and other Robson events one month in advance.

Box Office
Assistant

Operate Ticketmaster and Archtics Point of Sale system to sell tickets, receive payments and offer excellent customer service for all Ed Robson Arena ticketed events. Greet customers and guests with a courteous attitude and be willing to provide accurate information about the facility and events. Works day of event as well as any other supplemental day-to-day box office support.

Ticketing Operations Intern

Assist the Ticketing Office in the coordination of all ticketing operations for Tiger Hockey home competitions and various other special events held within the arena. This position plays an integral role in the Ticketing department and the selected individual will obtain unparalleled experience. The candidate will also receive valuable skills needed to apply for a full-time position upon completion of the internship and their degree. Candidate must be available for evening and weekend events and comply with College, Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.

Weekly Ice Technician

Complete Zamboni and ice maintenance training and appraisal with Head Ice Technician, as well as create and maintain quality ice surface for all skating constituencies. Make sure all user groups have what they need on the ice: pucks, dividers, nets, etc. Must be customer service oriented, communicative, helpful, and welcoming to people you encounter in the building. If you get a question you don’t know, do what you can to find an answer as soon as possible. Stay up to date on any new ice procedures, facility requirements, and schedule changes. Required to work 1 shift per week (at minimum).
