Don Moffatt joined the staff at Ed Robson Arena as the Arena Operations Coordinator in October of 2022.

Moffatt is responsible for working closely with Ed Robson Arena Head Ice Technician to ensure an exceptional and consistent NCAA Division I ice surface, while also assisting with all arena changeovers for other events. Additionally, he will work closely with campus departments, National Governing Bodies (NGB’s), and the city of Colorado Springs on daily and event specific logistics, to include staffing, setup/take down and facility usage oversight.

Don served as the Chief Ice Maker/Hockey for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games and 2018 Pyeong Winter Olympic Games. Additionally, he has been a member of the Ice Crew and the Lead Zamboni Driver for Ball Arena, home of the Colorado Avalanche. Don also was the Lead Ice Tech for the 2006 Torino, Italy Winter Olympic Games and has worked numerous NHL All-Star Games and Winter Classics.

Moffatt is from Peterborough, Ontario, CA and enjoys playing hockey, golf, skiing, and meeting new and interesting people involved in the great sport of hockey throughout the world.
